How Vijay Eswaran came up with the idea of QI Group

Vijay Eswaran was born on October 7, 1960, in Malaysia and his parents were Vijayaratnam Saravanamuthu, the father and Pushpavathy Chinnaiah, the mother. His father worked in the ministry of labor, and his mother was a teacher. Having worked in the government sector, he parents provided Eswaran with proper education, and he did not embarrass them. He studied up to the university level and graduated from the London School of Economics with a degree in socio-economics. He would travel in many different parts with his father when he worked in the ministry of labor. After graduation, Vijay worked in the construction industry in Belgium and grapes picking in France before going back to the United Kingdom, and his life took a positive turn.

Eswaran enrolled in the binary marketing system and professionally qualified at CIMA, Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, in the United Kingdom. He later moved to America and joined Southern Illinois University to pursue his MBA certificate. Vijay worked on multilevel activities especially at Synaptics on part-time while still in the university. After graduation, he worked as an information system engineer with various companies in Southeast Asia and North America. Eswaran went back to Malaysia after thirteen years and was employed by Cosway as the head of marketing in the Philippines. This move made him focus more on multilevel marketing.

The experience in multilevel marketing made him start QI Group in 1998. The company specializes in luxury products, travel, telecommunications, training, media, wellness, and corporate investments. The company’s operations are available in ten countries with subsidiaries in Thailand, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Singapore. In Malaysia, Green Venture Capital, a subsidiary of QI Group is putting up a residential and commercial complex called QI City at the cost of approximately $123 million. Vijay Eswaran is also a writer, and he has written on various motivational topics.
